Job Description: Metas Solutions has an opening for an experienced
Web Developer to consult on a program initiative to establish a modernized public health (PH) data ecosystem, including efforts to modernize infrastructure and system needs to help federal, state, tribal, local, and territorial (STLT). Global public health organizations and institutions make decisions about necessary improvements that will allow data to flow more seamlessly.
Responsibilities: - Work closely with government client and contractor personnel to design and develop web interfaces for internal SharePoint Online sites.
- Capture and document client and stakeholder requirements and translate them into well-formed, web-based products and materials.
- In conjunction with Microsoft Power Apps, utilize HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and open-source JavaScript libraries (such as D3), JSON, and imagery manipulation and optimization techniques to design and develop web applications and websites.
- Provide client staff with guidance on web standards and best practices to internal and external stakeholders, including delivering training on best practices for website design and analytics usage.
- Provide alternatives, information, and assistance to client web developers regarding effective information display.
- The role includes a combination of development activities, operations, maintenance, and operational support for current SharePoint Online applications.
- Provide SP website user interface redesign for the home page and site pages.
- Automate and facilitate administrative processes using comprehensive knowledge of program support/administrative processes within client divisions as needed.
- Consult programs regarding their SPO site installation, including maintenance and development on an enterprise SPO system, processes for starting SPO sites, the type of SPO sites allowed, enterprise standards, governance processes, development processes, documentation processes, security processes, and any other SPO processes and process changes required.
- Facilitate SPO site implementations by escalating issues and problems to the appropriate client contact or providing alternative acceptable solutions. Also, attend client meetings and communicate acquired information with clients and the larger Public Health community.
- Resolve SPO operational issues and answer relevant questions through Service Desk Support and other ad-hoc support.
- Determine recommended solutions to meet customer needs for SP user interface and other complementary tools such as Nintex Online and SPO Forms and Workflows, JavaScript, Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Teams.
- Provide efficient and accurate technical documentation of SPO sites.
- Be familiar with 508 compliance and ensure all technical documentation and sites are Section 508 compliant.
- Stay informed of SPO processes for internal and external sites and share their impacts with clients.
- Provide research and analysis for issue resolution and recommendations on all owned SPO sites.
- Provide guidance and continually advise on administrative policies and procedures within each client division.
- Perform development for new SPO projects and ongoing maintenance and client support.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or related program with relevant Microsoft certification(s), including SharePoint Certifications.
- Entry-level to Senior-level experience performing user interface support in a SharePoint environment.
- Experience with SPO front-end development.
- Preferred experience with SPO Forms and workflows, Nintex Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Experience with various content management and workflow solutions.
- Experience in supporting the desired federal government and public health clients.
