Reporting to the VP of WARDJet, the Supply Chain Manager, leads key performance reporting, order planning activity, inventory allocation, data maintenance, and all inventory auditing activities as well as overseeing the US Central Parts Warehousing and supply of materials to the Waterjet manufacturing center. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and management to drive continuous improvement in product planning, order management, stocking levels, inventory turns, fill rates and distribution process.
  • Provides fair, consistent, and respectful leadership, communicating expectations clearly to their team members, effectively motivating associates, and handling disputes quickly and with diplomacy.
  • Develop the skill set of the individuals in the organization and ensure all personnel are cross trained to mitigate risk.
  • Lead the tracking and analysis of asset configurations, sales history, and trends.
  • Develop reporting for all necessary metrics and key performance indicators as required.
  • Accountable for all stocking logic management.
  • Working with vendors to understand order lead times, future constraints, or products changes.
  • Implement supply chain solutions to provide the most efficient delivery to locations, while helping to control costs.
  • Provide broad guidance to the team and ensure they have the necessary knowledge to effectively manage the inventory within their area of responsibility.
  • Continually evaluate practices and processes while developing and implementing improvements.
  • Actively ensures parts and materials available to support production clear to build dates.
  • Develops visual tools to ensure all team members are aware of materials availability.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Master Scheduler for the development of production and work center schedules. With the goals of providing information to the Plant Manager, capacity optimization, delivery, and productivity performance.
  • Manage our ROI in inventory by reducing days on hand to target levels, increasing our inventory accuracy, and performing make/buy analysis in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering.
  • Analyze and adjust MRP planning factors accordingly and ensure that actual inventory matches Order loading.
  • Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions. Ensure an on time, smooth, organized flow of inventory from receiving through to presentation to a production and aftermarket.
  • Responsible for our BOM fulfillment as related to production.
  • Manage Logistics and Technical Support processes and team members. Actively work towards process development, improved communications, and clarity of packaging/shipping requirements.
  • Responsible for the picking and packing of material for the shop floor, aftermarket, and installations.
  • Develops methods to improve the velocity, accuracy and productivity of all these functions.
  • Develops supply chain by managing the procurement process, developing supplier relationships, supplier metrics, supplier agreements, and analyzing performance and directing sourcing accordingly. Ensures that proper checks and balances are built into the process.
  • Track and manage E&O, report product cost for BOM meetings, track and take corrective actions on PPV, track and report OTD for OEM and Aftermarket.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • BA/BS degree preferred; relevant experience considered.
  • 10+ years of relevant management experience and/or post-secondary education in Business Administration, Mathematics, Analytics, or similar discipline would be considered an asset
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably with complex assemblies with multi-level BOMs.
  • Extensive experience using MRP II-based ERP systems; CPIM certification a plus; experience with EPICOR ERP is an asset.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to travel
  • International travel may be required from time to time.
