Principal Data Manager
Multi-year contract role
Bountiful, UT

Secret Clearance required
Contract Rate: DOE


Works with programmers or other senior project staff to collect and manage project data
Creates and enforces sound data management policies for a program or organization
Develops techniques for collection operational and transactional data and methods for ensuring data quality, accuracy, and adequacy
Creates and implements policies and procedures and makes recommendations for technical solutions for data management systems
Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates on-going data collection and management by working cross-functionally with key stakeholders
including data gatherers, strategic decision makers, and Information Technology (IT) management
Ensures that data repositories are properly secured against possible risks from security breaches or data loss and troubleshoots problems pertaining to data management
Performs database design, survey data cleaning processes, and multi-site data tracking, data aggregation, and reporting processes and procedures



Experience:
6+ yrs of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
Knowledge, skill and abilities run in conjuction with current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570, and stated educational requirements
Principal skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiers
Contractor shall obtain and maintain certifications as required by current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570.01 -M, and other applicable laws and regulations



Education:
BA or BS degree in STEM-related field + 15 years of experience
OR
MS degree + 12 years of experience
OR
PHD + 9 years of experience
