Legal Billing Specialist - HYBRID!

• The Legal Billing Specialist will report directly to the Billing Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Specialist:

• Prepare, edit, and finalize client invoices in accordance with firm and client guidelines
• Work directly with attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to resolve billing issues and ensure timely billing
• Maintain and update billing records, including client and matter setups, rate adjustments, and special billing arrangements
• Submit electronic bills through various e-billing systems (e.g., BillBlast, CounselLink, Tymetrix)
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with collections as needed
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting

Preferred Qualifications for the Legal Billing Specialist:

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma required; post-secondary coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• 2-3 years of billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment required
• Familiarity with legal billing software and e-billing portals strongly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Location & Compensation:

• Hybrid role - Downtown Cleveland
• Salary: $70,000 to $80,000, depending on experience
