Overview: We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman to join our team. As a Journeyman Lineman, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical power systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities: - Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair overhead electrical distribution systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems and equipment, including identifying faults and implementing effective solutions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Emergency Response: Respond to power outages and emergencies promptly, working to restore service safely and efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other linemen, technicians, and engineers to complete projects and solve problems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment tested.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications: - Completion of a recognized Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program.
- Proven experience in electrical power line construction, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clean driving record.
Physical Requirements/ Working Environment: - Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday-Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.
- Working environment is often in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

- This position reports to the Operations Manager.
- This position typically has no direct reports.
- This position is safety sensitive in nature, which means employee performs duties so fraught with risks of injury to self or others, or environmental injury, that even a momentary lapse of concentration or attention can have disastrous consequences.
