At Koala Insulation of Eastern Carolina, we are looking for a hands-on, experienced, insulation professional to lead and motivate a team in planning and completing our insulation services with quality and efficiency in mind. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying and correcting all insulation issues, including spray foam, and providing coaching to more junior installers. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Koala Insulation is an experienced insulation contractor providing high-quality insulation services to homeowners, contractors, and property owners.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and performing insulation removal and installation in attics and crawlspaces, while leading the crew.
- Trains and coaches new employees in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
- Communicates effectively with the Operations Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Safety: Adheres to, champions, and enforces jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures that rig is safely driven to jobsite locations.
- Operations: Reads specifications to determine job requirements and ensures that enough supplies are on hand. Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Ensures that all guidelines are followed with equipment set up and operation. Leads team to complete high quality with each job while maintaining efficiency.
- Technical: Ensures vehicle, insulation rig, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order. Ability to operate, maintain, and diagnose issues with equipment.
- Customer Service: Communicates professionally with customer, completes paperwork, and accepts payment for work completed. Ensures that team presents a professional image and that jobsite is thoroughly cleaned upon completing the job.
- Other: Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Performs other related duties as required.

- Experience using a CRM preferred.
Education and Experience:
- At least 5 years prior experience in the insulation industry.
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2 years of Crew Lead experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
- Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
