Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable distribution driver to join our team in delivering high moving items to customers in the SW suburbs of Chicago. Ability to earn commission pay on average from over $15,000 weekly in sales. Compensation is commission based and commission ranges from 10-18% gross sales.
Responsibilities:
· Independently deliver high moving items promptly and efficiently to customers in the designated areas.
· Manage a delivery route effectively to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
· Conduct inspection and maintenance to own delivery vehicle- 16 FT box needed.
· Load, unload, and merchandise items ensuring proper handling and care during transportation.
· Interact with customers in a polite and professional manner while delivering items.
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer information, delivery times, and quantity of items delivered.
· Communicate any significant changes in delivery schedules or any other issues.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during delivery operations.
· Perform any other duties related to the delivery operations as assigned.
Requirements:
· Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
· Previous experience in distribution or delivery services is preferred.
· Previous experience in grocery management preferred.
· Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
· Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required.
· Must be able to work early mornings, typically from 4am to 1pm, five days per week.
· Flexibility to work additional hours or days, as necessary, to meet customer demands.
· Proven self-motivation, dedication, and reliability to fulfill customer expectations and achieve sales targets.
