Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard cost of raw materials, packaging, labor and finished goods

• Review standard and actual cost variances, provide report to management

• Analyze and review profit margins by category, plant and product line

• Carry out variance analysis such as purchase price variance to cost variance, cost revaluation, invoice to purchase order variances

• Prepare and complete internal cost audits

• Determine estimates of new and proposed product costs

• Generate reports comparing production costs to standard costs and analyze manufacturing variances

• Monitor cycle count programs and conduct physical inventories working with the production plants

• Create, maintain and provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products

• Manage the implementation and maintenance of a standard costing methodology

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience required including 5 years in a cost accounting role

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills

• Strong financial modeling skills, along with strong understanding of pricing standards and variance analysis

• Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and working with ERP/Financial System

Salary and Benefits

• Salary range is $110,000 to $130,000

• Work a hybrid schedule based from their Canton office

• Bonus opportunities
