We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting civil construction projects in the industry. Our ideal candidate carries a strong background in civil engineering, architecture, and construction project management. You will be responsible for leading teams, planning and overseeing projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your role will also involve liaising with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and ensuring they are met. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.

Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee all aspects of a project from start to finish. This includes setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of the project.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans and coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
3. Perform risk management to minimize project risks and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
4. Use project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence.
5. Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project. Prepare and implement a budget based on estimates.
6. Address any potential issues or delays in order to minimize the impact on the project timeline and ensure that the project is completed on time.
7. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with specific quality standards.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
9. Use AutoCAD to design and plan project elements as needed.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or architecture project management.
3. Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, New Construction Project Manager, or in a similar role.
4. Proficient in AutoCAD and other construction project management tools.
5. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
6. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
7. Project management and supervision skills with a strong working knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain good relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
9. Strong problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
10. A team player with leadership abilities, who can manage and lead teams effectively.
11. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
