Description
Kalos is a family owned and operated General Contractor and Residential Service Provider for Central Florida. Seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team to perform a variety of carpentry functions. This position will require overnight travel and will be working overnights in an open facility and will perform a variety of tasks including:
Projects will be mostly the Central Florida area and often with overnight travel throughout Florida. Many of the projects will be punch work, small projects, or helping out on larger projects. Applicants must be willing to take care of a wide range of construction and maintenance tasks with very little instruction or supervision. The ideal candidate would have many years of carpentry experience and have strong attention to detail. Seeking serious applicants who want to work in a positive and productive workplace with strong growth potential.
Responsibilities: - Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials to specified dimensions.
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as frames, partitions, joists, studding, rafters, and other wooden parts.
- Finishing all types of surfaces such as walls, ceilings, doors and furniture.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check.
- Must have a relatively clean Drivers License and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of all aspects of trim carpentry
- Ability to read plans and specs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High personal integrity with good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to safely lift and handle 50+ lbs. Kneel and climb ladders
- Must have skills and experience in the following areas to qualify
- Framing
- Siding
- Trim
- Drywall and Drywall Finishing
